Atomenergopromsbyt JSC (a part of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC) and Mosenergosbyt JSC have entered into an agreement to supply “green” certificates for 15,000 MW*h of generation attributes resulting from electricity generation at qualified generation facilities of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC.
The agreement conclusion has facilitated the subsequent redemption of certificates by Mosenergosbyt JSC in the interests of Gazprombank. It confirms that Gazprombank owns the generation attributes resulting from wind power generation, thereby reducing its own carbon footprint.
“Rosatom is implementing a comprehensive strategy to increase low-carbon generation based on nuclear and wind power capacity. At the moment, ROSATOM companies have actively supported our partners' efforts to minimize their environmental impact. To achieve these goals, we continue to develop various tools that allow companies to ensure compliance with voluntary commitments to minimize environmental impact," said Grigory Nazarov, the Director General of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC.
