Fluor Completes Sweet Gas Plants in Canada Ahead of Schedule and Under Budget

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that mechanical completion has been achieved on the Sunrise 04-26, Tower 03-07 and Saturn 15-27 sweet gas plants for the Cutbank Ridge Partnership (CRP) program in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada.

The CRP program encompasses the Sunrise 04-26, Tower 03-07 and Saturn 15-27 plants. Fluor has been involved since the program’s initial phases and provided engineering, procurement and construction management services for the CRP program.

“By leveraging the synergies gained from executing three projects simultaneously, the team designed standardized modules, used automation tools and sourced from global suppliers to drive cost and schedule benefits to the program,” said Mark Fields, president of Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals business in the Americas. “The accelerated schedules were achieved through a culture of innovation, collaboration and transparency by Fluor, the client and the contractors.”

Construction of the Sunrise 04-26, Tower 03-07 and Saturn 15-27 facilities was completed safely and with no lost-time incidents in just over two years. The projects were completed weeks ahead of schedule and approximately 10 percent under budget.
