Alfa Laval Wins SEK 110M Power Order in the Middle East

Alfa Laval  a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling  has won an order to supply air-cooler systems to a power plant in the Middle East. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of approximately SEK 110 million. Delivery is scheduled for 2016.

The air-cooler systems will be used for cooling duties in a combined cycle power plant. A combined cycle power plant uses both a gas turbine and a steam turbine, which combined enables it to produce up to 50 percent more electricity than a traditional simple-cycle plant, using the same amount of fuel.

“This order proves our strong position as reliable supplier of efficient equipment for the demanding applications within the power industry,” says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
