sPower Sierra Solar Connects to Grid, 22.5MW in Los Angeles County

sPower, a leading renewable energy provider, today announced that its Sierra Solar project, sPower’s first in Los Angeles County, has successfully been completed and has started operation. The 22.5MW solar farm is now delivering clean, reliable energy to Southern California Edison (SCE) under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

“This important milestone is another renewable energy success story for the Antelope Valley. It is a result of a years-long collaborative effort from everyone involved – from LA County’s Department of Regional Planning to Lancaster landowners to SCE to our EPC partner,” said sPower CEO, Ryan Creamer. “It is exciting to see the project become fully operational, and we look forward to continuing to foster an ongoing relationship with LA County.”
