Eolus to Conduct Strategic Review to Take its Offshore Wind Business to the Next Level

Eolus has initiated a strategic review of its offshore business with the intention to create the best conditions for permitting and realization of the projects.

As of 31 March, Eolus had an offshore wind portfolio comprising nine projects totalling an estimated capacity of 10,000 MW. In addition, Eolus is developing several other offshore projects that are in an earlier development phase. The offshore projects are in Sweden, Finland and the Baltics. In July, Eolus submitted the application for environmental permit for the 1,000 MW project Västvind, west of Gothenburg in Sweden to the government and to the Land and Environment Court. Permit applications for additional offshore projects are planned to be submitted in the near future.

The strategic review includes the option to search for a strategic partner with competence and resources that can contribute to increasing the speed in development and realization of the offshore projects.
