Vestas adds 257 MW order in Netherlands at Windplan Groen complex

Vestas has received a 257 MW order from Windkoepel Groen for a total of seven projects in the Netherlands. The order includes supply and installation of 37 V162-6.2 MW EnVentus wind turbines, with some delivered in 6.0 MW operating mode, and eight V126-3.45 MW wind turbines delivered in 3.8 MW operating mode.

The seven projects are part of Windplan Groen, a collective initiative to repower existing wind farms in the Eastern part of the Province of Flevoland. The individual owners are joined in Windkoepel Groen.

“Vestas is pleased to be selected to provide our turbines to seven projects at the Windplan Groen complex”, says Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe. “This project is an excellent example of community members banding together to drive forward the clean energy transition, by adding new technology to existing sites in the Netherlands. We’re delighted to be working with several members of this collective initiative to deliver the right turbine solutions for their respective projects.”
