HyperSolar Expresses Optimism for Role Within Hydrogen Fuel Economy as the Concept Gains Momentum

HyperSolar, the developer of a breakthrough technology to produce renewable hydrogen using sunlight and any source of water, today commented on the market potential for its renewable hydrogen-producing technology within hydrogen economies as an alternative to expensive processes yet to prove cost efficient for long-term sustainability.

A recent article from RenewableEnergyWorld.com focuses on Hawaii as being an ideal location for development of the world's first hydrogen fuel economy. The article details several reasons why Hawaii fits this potential, including its status as a closed electricity and land transport system, abundance of renewable energy resources, and overall small area with minimal out-of-state vehicles. The article also references the state's natural gas facilities as a resource, an already advanced commitment to energy solutions with the goal of becoming completely renewable by 2045, and a coastal location representing the potential for an aggregation, storage and distribution center where hydrogen could load-balance intermittent renewable electricity generation on Oahu.

In addition, Toyota recently announced a hydrogen economy demonstration project in Japan that echoed optimism surrounding hydrogen fuel produced by electrolyzing water using wind power, as well as a system to optimize storage and transportation. An article from Triple Pundit references this announcement with caution, reiterating that despite the many potential applications, electricity from the grid may still be relied upon to meet market demand.

While these recent announcements and expert analysis bode well for the future of hydrogen fuel economies, HyperSolar believes its developing technology represents a stronger alternative to many aspects of the process in terms of producing, storing, and deploying hydrogen fuel. While many of these technologies are dependent on existing wind and solar technologies, a storage network system, and further infrastructural upgrades, HyperSolar believes its ability to produce hydrogen at or near the point of distribution would remove many of the challenges faced by regions pursuing this economy. Additionally, HyperSolar's completely renewable process would reduce the need for natural gas dependencies or reliance upon the grid to meet market demand.
