The document was signed by Director for the Public Policy on SNF, RAW and Nuclear Decommissioning of ROSATOM Oleg Kryukov and Director of Innovations, Development and International Relations of ANDRA Patrick Landes.

The agreement is to develop the cooperation in implementation of the national system for the management of radioactive waste, exchange of scientific and technical information, results of research and development as well as information about legal, social and ethic aspects. The parties agreed to hold reviews of technical solutions as well as arrange for visits of specialist teams to final isolation facilities of Russia and France.

FSUE NO RAO is to be the executor of this agreement from the Russian side. It is the company entitled to work on final isolation of RAW in the Russian Federation. The cooperation between FSUE NO RAO and ANDRA started in 2012 when ROSATOM and ANDRA signed the memorandum of understanding. The partners are to continue interaction in the safe RAW management, and they believe that the joint program of exchange of experience, expert knowledge and technologies would be of mutual interest.
