Gemma Power Systems to Build NTE Projects in Ohio and North Carolina

Gemma Power Systems, LLC (GPS) has received Interim Notice to Proceed (INTP) to commence activities under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Services (EPC) contract with NTE Ohio LLC, an affiliate of NTE Energy, to construct a 475 MW state-of-the-art natural gas-fired power plant in Middletown, OH.

The Ohio project features an advanced Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas (MHPSA) M501GAC combustion turbine generator, a Vogt Power International supplementary-fired heat recovery steam generator and a Toshiba America Energy Systems steam turbine generator. It is one of two similar projects which GPS is contracted to perform for NTE; the second project is located in Kings Mountain, NC for NTE Carolinas LLC.

The Middletown Energy Center project has a contract value of approximately $300 million and is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2018. The Kings Mountain Energy Center project is anticipated to be released in September and will be complete later in 2018.
