Ecology and Environment do Brasil Awarded $1 Million Contract for Development of Major Transmission Line

Ecology and Environment do Brasil, an Ecology and Environment, Inc. (E & E) (NASDAQ: EEI) company, has been awarded a $1 million (U.S. dollars) contract with Patria Investments, in partnership with the (U.S.) Blackstone Group, for the first phase of development of a major 500kVa transmission line crossing the states of Maranhão, Piauí, and Ceará in Brazil. The total project investment is approximately $140 million (U.S. dollars).

Ecology and Environment do Brasil started field work earlier this month. The scope of work includes forest inventory, fauna sampling, and cultural resources work as well as project permitting, migratory bird surveys, and coordination with Fundacao Cultural Palmares (FCP) on indigenous population matters.
