Lime Energy and National Grid Extend Partnership Through 2016

Lime Energy Co. announced today it has received a one-year contract extension with National Grid to continue its Small Business Program in western New York. This extension of the six-year partnership represents National Grid’s ongoing commitment to deliver clean energy solutions to its commercial customers.

In the past six years, Lime Energy has provided energy-efficient interior and exterior lighting solutions to thousands of small businesses in Buffalo and the surrounding area, including many customers located in low-to-moderate income communities. With the help of Lime Energy, business owners have been able to take advantage of utility incentives to easily upgrade inefficient lighting and refrigeration in their businesses. This program has created 14 green jobs, provided steady employment to dozens of contractors, and helped commercial customers in the Buffalo area better manage their energy usage and bills.

“Lime Energy has provided thousands of small businesses with much needed energy efficiency solutions in western New York,” says Lime Energy President and CEO, Adam Procell. “Lime Energy is proud to deliver much needed energy savings and promote economic growth throughout local communities in New York State. We look forward to continuing our partnership with National Grid to help small business owners improve their bottom line in 2016.”
