Atlantic Wind & Solar Announces $3 Million 500 KW Utility Scale Power Plant Now in Full Operation

Atlantic Wind & Solar, is pleased to announce it has received notice from Ontario's IESO (Independent Electricity System Operator) that its previously announced 500 KW Utility Scale (603.90 KW DC) solar power plant in Mississauga, ON, Canada is now in full operation, generating power to the grid, and producing revenues for its stakeholders.

The $3 million commercial rooftop installation, consisting of 1,980 panels, is expected to produce 12,600 megawatt hours of power over the next 20 years supplying Ontario with clean reliable energy.  The power will be sold under the province's Feed-In-Tariff program.  

The installation used 1,980 panels from Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ) rated at 305 watts.  The inverter was from Advanced Energy (AEIS).
