Franklin Energy Wins Contract with Canadian Utility

Franklin Energy Services, LLC, a leading national energy efficiency program implementation firm, announced today that it has signed a contract with PowerStream – a community-owned energy company located in Ontario, Canada.

Since Franklin Energy’s inception, PowerStream will be the firm’s first Canadian-based client. Franklin Energy will be providing a variety of technical and program services to help PowerStream achieve their new conservation goals under the Conservation First Framework.

“We entered the bid knowing that PowerStream was looking for a partner with proven capability and expert resources,” said Dan Tarrence, Franklin Energy Services Executive Vice President. “Canada is where we’ve been looking to take our business for some time. Beyond expanding our national footprint, Franklin Energy recognizes the promising opportunity with our northern neighbor. The Province of Ontario shares many of the same conservation drivers, market challenges and rising regulations we’re seeing in the states we operate, making it a familiar move in an unfamiliar territory.”
