Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES), a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, has been awarded a contract valued at greater than one million U.S. dollars to perform a generator stator rewind for Xcel Energy’s Wilmarth Generating Station, Unit 2, located on the Minnesota River in Mankato, Minnesota.

“Generator services, including stator rewinds, are a particular area of expertise for us, and we are proud to have this opportunity to once again partner with and support Xcel Energy,” said Lee Hietpas, Vice President of TAES’s Thermal Services Business Unit.

The work is scheduled to begin in January 2018, and will include the supply and installation of the generator stator winding and refurbishment of the end-winding support system.
