Volta Charging announced today they have integrated Microsoft Azure within their state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging network to optimize performance of the growing, free-to-use charging network and deliver powerful solutions to brands seeking greater engagement and targeting capabilities.
Volta's network will exhibit brands' digital content at high-traffic public locations, showcasing interactive and demographically relevant targeted media on its charging stations' digital displays.
Volta's utilization of the Azure cloud platform is enabling the intelligent cloud through the use of live analytics data to better engage real-world target audiences. Essentially, Azure services allow Volta to integrate interactive media resulting in increased user engagement for advertisers. Volta's proprietary algorithm is able to recognize viewer demographics and utilize that information to serve hyper-relevant media in real-time.
"Volta's mission to accelerate positive social change through iconic technology is made stronger through this collaboration with Microsoft," said Founder and CTO Michael Menendez. "The intelligent cloud products and services provide the infrastructure needed to expand our offering and bring to market new and exciting solutions."
"Microsoft is working with our partners around the world to discover and implement innovative ways to transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future for our planet," said Steven Guggenheimer, Corporate Vice President of Developer Platform & Evangelism and Chief Evangelist for Microsoft Corporation. "Volta EV charging stations utilizing Microsoft Azure media services, machine learning and analytics inspires such sustainable behavior that brands can use to support their retail strategy."
Volta will be a Microsoft Showcase Partner exhibiting the Volta EV Charging Station within the Microsoft booth at NAB 2016 show in Las Vegas (April 18th - 21st), known as the world's largest electronic media show covering the creation, management and delivery of content across all platforms.
